This means that Perl\nno longer handles signals immediately but instead \"between opcodes\", when it is\nsafe to do so. The earlier immediate handling easily could corrupt the internal\nstate of Perl, resulting in mysterious crashes.\n\nIt's possible since perl 5.8.1 to globally disable this feature by using the\nPERL_SIGNALS environment variables (as specified in \"PERL_SIGNALS\" in perlrun);\nbut there's no way to disable it locally, for a short period of time. That's\nhowever something you might want to do, if, for example, your Perl program calls\na C routine that will potentially run for a long time and for which you want to\nset a timeout.\n\nThis module therefore allows you to define UNSAFE_SIGNALS blocks in which\nsignals will be handled \"unsafely\".","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/dragonfly/devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":null,"maintainer":"ehaupt@FreeBSD.org","name":"p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","newest":true,"newestVersion":"0.03","noVulnData":false,"origin":"devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","otherSystems":[{"maintainer":"ehaupt@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"origin":"devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","path":"/devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals/","system":"FreeBSD","version":"0.03"},{"maintainer":"pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org","matchedBy":"name","newest":true,"origin":"wip/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","path":"/netbsd/wip/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals/","system":"NetBSD","version":"0.03"},{"maintainer":"ehaupt@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"noVulnData":true,"origin":"devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","path":"","system":"HardenedBSD","version":"0.03"},{"maintainer":"ehaupt@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"noVulnData":true,"origin":"devel/p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals","path":"","system":"GhostBSD","version":"0.03"}],"packages":null,"pkgName":"p5-Perl-Unsafe-Signals-0.03","related":null,"repository":"DPorts","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["lang/perl5.36"],"status":null,"system":"dragonfly","systemLabel":"DragonFly","version":"0.03","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":"https://metacpan.org/release/Perl-Unsafe-Signals"}
