It's designed to be used as a priority queue, where items\nare added and consumed as follows:\n\n  hd = heapdict()\n  hd[obj1] = priority1\n  hd[obj2] = priority2\n  # ...\n  (obj, priority) = hd.popitem()\n\nCompared to an ordinary dict, a heapdict has the following differences:\n- popitem():\n  Remove and return the (key, priority) pair with the lowest priority, instead\n  of a random object.\n- peekitem():\n  Return the (key, priority) pair with the lowest priority, without removing it.\n\nUnlike the Python standard library's heapq module, the heapdict supports\nefficiently changing the priority of an existing object (often called \"decrease-\nkey\" in textbooks). Altering the priority is important for many algorithms such\nas Dijkstra's Algorithm and A*.","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/dragonfly/devel/py-heapdict/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":["BSD3CLAUSE"],"maintainer":"sunpoet@FreeBSD.org","name":"py311-heapdict","newest":true,"newestVersion":"1.0.1","noVulnData":false,"origin":"devel/py-heapdict","otherSystems":[{"maintainer":"sunpoet@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"origin":"devel/py-heapdict","path":"/devel/py-heapdict/","system":"FreeBSD","version":"1.0.1_1"},{"maintainer":"sunpoet@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"noVulnData":true,"origin":"devel/py-heapdict","path":"","system":"HardenedBSD","version":"1.0.1_1"},{"maintainer":"sunpoet@FreeBSD.org","newest":true,"noVulnData":true,"origin":"devel/py-heapdict","path":"","system":"GhostBSD","version":"1.0.1_1"}],"packages":null,"pkgName":"py311-heapdict-1.0.1_1","related":null,"repository":"DPorts","requiredBy":["devel/py-cachey"],"requiredByCount":1,"runDepends":["lang/python311"],"status":null,"system":"dragonfly","systemLabel":"DragonFly","version":"1.0.1_1","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":"https://github.com/DanielStutzbach/heapdict"}
