You can then use your usual serial tools (cu, tip,\nminicom, etc ...) on this pty as you would do on a real serial port on\nyour Unix workstation.\nIncluded is an example loopback program for a pic18f (that is, it will\njust echo back what you send it). tstloopback.c can be used along with\ncu or tip (or possibly minicom) to copy an arbitrary file though the\nserial port and the pic, which allows to check for data corruption\n(if you notice that 0x11 and 0x13 characters get lost, check for\nthe XON/XOFF status of your pty :)\n\nThis module has been developed for gpsim from CVS 20040816:\nhttp://www-asim.lip6.fr/~bouyer/pic/gpsim-20040826.tar.gz\n\nFor now this has only been tested on NetBSD. It should work without\nmuch troubles on others BSDs. More work is needed for other unix-like\noperating systems (probably require a usart_external.cc per pty style).\n\nPlease address comments, bug-fixes or updates to Manuel.Bouyer@lip6.fr","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/netbsd/emulators/gpsim-ptyusart/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":"2026-09-29T06:03:37Z","license":[],"maintainer":"bouyer@NetBSD.org","name":"gpsim-ptyusart","newest":false,"newestVersion":null,"noVulnData":false,"origin":"emulators/gpsim-ptyusart","otherSystems":[],"packages":[{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 x86_64","versions":["0.3.2nb50"]},{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 aarch64","versions":["0.3.2nb50"]},{"repo":"SmartOS / illumos x86_64","versions":["-"]},{"repo":"macOS 15 arm64","versions":["-"]}],"pkgName":"gpsim-ptyusart-0.3.2nb50","related":null,"repository":"pkgsrc","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["emulators/gpsim-devel"],"status":null,"system":"netbsd","systemLabel":"NetBSD","version":"0.3.2nb50","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":null}
