It consumes little memory in my opinion, because files are\ndivided into blocks, which can be decompressed separately. In other words,\nif you (or an application) would like to read byte 4,500,000 in a file\nsized 5,000,000 bytes, it only decompresses a block which contain wanted\ndata. Write operation is based on a packet gathering and after reaching its\nlimit it 'syncs' the data. It allows it's user to write/modify files pretty\nfast, despite the fact it's block divided.\n\nLZOlayer File System was meant to support only LZO compression algorithm,\nbecause it has extremely low compression/decompression time. However,\ncurrently it supports LZO and ZLIB (but only one at the run-time!)\ncompression algorithms.","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/netbsd/filesystems/fuse-lzofs/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":[],"maintainer":"pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org","name":"fuse-lzofs","newest":false,"newestVersion":null,"noVulnData":false,"origin":"filesystems/fuse-lzofs","otherSystems":[],"packages":[{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 x86_64","versions":["20060306nb2"]},{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 aarch64","versions":["20060306nb2"]},{"repo":"SmartOS / illumos x86_64","versions":["-"]},{"repo":"macOS 15 arm64","versions":["-"]}],"pkgName":"fuse-lzofs-20060306nb2","related":null,"repository":"pkgsrc","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["archivers/lzo"],"status":null,"system":"netbsd","systemLabel":"NetBSD","version":"20060306nb2","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":null}
