Meera is an even\nstroke typeface for better screen rendering, with individually\ndesigned glyphs for complex conjuncts rather than using component\nglyphs.\n\nMeera is a san-serif counter part of Rachana font with all traditional\ncharacters.  It is also meant for body text like Rachana, preferably\nfor a pamphlet or single page designs.  Usage of Meera can be thought\nof similar to Helvetica typeface and its variations like Arial.  Meera\nRoman glyphs are visually similar to Arial but its orthography\nstrictly follows Meera Malayalam glyphs. Basic curves and straight\nlines are taken from Malayalam ‘റ’ and ‘വ’ characters. This is why\nMeera Roman glyphs differ from Helvetica but holds san-serif\ncharacteristics and smoothly sit with its Malayalam glyphs.\n\nReleased in 2007, Meera is the default Malayalam font for many\nGNU/Linux distros for Malayalam script.  The font is widely used in\nweb as the primary choice for Malayalam screen font.  The font is\navailable only in regular style.","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/netbsd/fonts/ttf-meera/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":["gnu-gpl-v3 OR ofl-v1.1"],"maintainer":"pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org","name":"ttf-meera","newest":false,"newestVersion":null,"noVulnData":false,"origin":"fonts/ttf-meera","otherSystems":[],"packages":[{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 x86_64","versions":["7.0.3.20191223nb3"]},{"repo":"NetBSD 10.1 aarch64","versions":["7.0.3.20191223nb3"]},{"repo":"SmartOS / illumos x86_64","versions":["-"]},{"repo":"macOS 15 arm64","versions":["7.0.3.20191223nb3"]}],"pkgName":"ttf-meera-7.0.3.20191223nb3","related":null,"repository":"pkgsrc","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["fonts/ttmkfdir2"],"status":null,"system":"netbsd","systemLabel":"NetBSD","version":"7.0.3.20191223nb3","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":"https://smc.org.in/fonts/meera"}
