The\nprogram environment includes variables that hold the local and remote\nsocket addresses, and the effective user and group IDs of the process\nthat called connect. ipcserver offers a concurrency limit on\nacceptance of new connections, and selective handling of connections\nbased on client identity.\n\nThe ipcclient program requests a connection to a local-domain socket,\nand runs a program. The program environment includes a variable that\nholds the local socket address.\n\nThe ipcperl program is an example of an ipchandle server.
