Code\ncoverage is interpreted from one case to the next by afl-cov in\norder to determine which new functions and lines are hit by AFL\nwith each new test case. Further, afl-cov allows for specific lines\nor functions to be searched for within coverage results, and when\na match is found the corresponding test case file is displayed.\nThis allows the user to discover which AFL test case is the first\nto exercise a particular function. In addition, afl-cov produces a\n\"zero coverage\" report of functions and lines that were never\nexecuted during any AFL fuzzing run.\n\nAlthough of no use to AFL itself, the main application of afl-cov\nis to wrap some automation around gcov together with AFL test cases\nand thereby provide data on how to maximize code coverage with AFL\nfuzzing runs. Manual interpretation of cumulative gcov results from\nAFL test cases is usually still required, but the \"fiddly\" steps\nof iterating over all test cases and generating code coverage reports\n(along with the \"zero coverage\" report) is automated by afl-cov.","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/netbsd/wip/afl-cov/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":["gnu-gpl-v2"],"maintainer":"pkgsrc-users@NetBSD.org","name":"afl-cov","newest":false,"newestVersion":null,"noVulnData":false,"origin":"wip/afl-cov","otherSystems":[],"packages":null,"pkgName":"afl-cov-0.6","related":null,"repository":"pkgsrc-wip","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["devel/afl","devel/lcov"],"status":null,"system":"netbsd","systemLabel":"NetBSD","version":"0.6","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":"https://github.com/mrash/afl-cov/"}
