It was constructed over the\nlifetime of the NetIntegrator mostly by apenwarr but also with tons of help\nfrom dcoombs and other members of Net Integration R\u0026D. The version of\nWvStreams you see on this site is currently maintained by the AlumNit group.\n\nWvStreams aims to be an efficient, secure, easy-to-use, and OS-independent\nlibrary for doing network applications development, and we think that it has\npretty much lived up to those goals. Currently all or parts of it work under\nLinux, *BSD, Solaris, and MAC OS X. Some parts have been ported to Windows,\nwith a more complete port coming really soon.\n\nMost people who have read WvStreams-based code seem to be very impressed with\nhow readable it makes application programs. It would have been impossible to\nbuild WvDial, TunnelVision, Retchmail, and the rest of the programs found on\nthis site as quickly as we did without a good framework library.\n\nCurrently, what documentation exists is a bit sporadic. The header files from\nthe source code are fairly well documented, and, for those looking for examples,\nall of the programs on this site have been developed using this library, so you\nshould be able to get some ideas from them.","flavors":[],"html":"https://daemonports.org/netbsd/wip/wvstreams/","kind":"port","lastUpdate":null,"license":[],"maintainer":"evaldo@gardenali.biz","name":"wvstreams","newest":false,"newestVersion":null,"noVulnData":false,"origin":"wip/wvstreams","otherSystems":[],"packages":null,"pkgName":"wvstreams-4.5.1nb1","related":null,"repository":"pkgsrc-wip","requiredBy":[],"requiredByCount":0,"runDepends":["security/openssl"],"status":null,"system":"netbsd","systemLabel":"NetBSD","version":"4.5.1nb1","versions":null,"vulnerabilities":null,"www":"http://alumnit.ca/wiki/index.php?page=WvDial"}
