Description

Fast aggregation of large data (e.g. 100GB in RAM), fast ordered joins, fast add/modify/delete of columns by group using no copies at all, list columns and a fast file reader (fread). Offers a natural and flexible syntax, for faster development.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install R-cran-data.table

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/R-cran-data.table/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	R-cran-data.table>0:devel/R-cran-data.table

- The test suite requires a valid Sys.timezone(), which fails in poudriere jails as they have no /etc/localtime. Set TZ=UTC via MAKE_ENV, since cran.mk's do-test does not honour TEST_ENV. ChangeLog: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/data.table/news/news.html
