Description

GCC, the GNU Compiler Collection, supports a number of languages. This port installs the C, C++, and Fortran front ends as gcc11, g++11, and gfortran11, respectively.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install gcc11

From DPorts:

cd /usr/dports/lang/gcc11 && make install clean

Message after installing

To ensure binaries built with this toolchain find appropriate versions
of the necessary run-time libraries, you may want to link using

  -Wl,-rpath=/usr/local/lib/gcc11

For ports leveraging USE_GCC, USES=compiler, or USES=fortran this happens
transparently.
