Description

This package is a Python implementation of the math that standard JPL ephemerides use to predict raw (x,y,z) planetary positions. It is one of the foundations of the Skyfield astronomy library for Python (astro/py-skyfield).

But you can also use jplephem standalone to generate raw vectors.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install py312-jplephem

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/astro/py-jplephem/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
