Description

SExtractor is a program that builds a catalogue of objects from an astronomical image. Although it is particularly oriented towards reduction of large scale galaxy-survey data, it performs rather well on moderately crowded star fields.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install astro/sextractor
pkg install sextractor

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/astro/sextractor/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	sextractor>0:astro/sextractor
