Description

text-unidecode is the most basic port of the Text::Unidecode Perl library. There are other Python ports of Text::Unidecode (unidecode and isounidecode).

unidecode is GPL, isounidecode uses too much memory, and it didn't support Python 3 when this package was created.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install py312-text-unidecode

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/converters/py-text-unidecode/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	py312-text-unidecode>0:converters/py-text-unidecode
