Description
Cego is a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS). Cego supports transactional SQL query requests in a multithreaded architecture. For high availability requirements, Cego supports a database shadowing feature. Several compute nodes can be defined in a Cego database configuration, where each node is able to manage a number of so called table sets. For each tableset, a backup node can be defined, which runs is recover mode for the corresponding tableset. If required, the tableset can be switched to the backup node and this node gets the active node for the tableset.

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install databases/cego
pkg install cegoFrom the ports tree:

- Improved error handling made for invalid procedure out parameter
calls, e.g. call myProc(null, null), where myProc has been defined
with out parameters. Instead of confusing error message "Unknown
variable null", the corresponding out parameter is mentioned in the
error messsage. e.g. "No out variable given for parameter <outval>"
p5-DBD-cego:
- Patch added to treat invalid procedure out parameter arguments.
If a scalar is given as an out parameter, an error is returned (
e.g. ? = myProc(?,?) with no binding on parameter 1 ) |

- move protocol type parameter from command line option to database XML.
Since the common protocol type is fastserial ( xml and serial are
still there for historic reasons ), there is not need for this
parameter on command line level. Please note : With this version,
the protocol command line parameter for cego server is not supported
any more ( for cgclt it is still available )
- Added patch in CegoTypeConverter::getTypeId, in case of
null value type null, the error message "unknown type string"
was returned. In this case, NULL_TYPE should be returned.
This patch has effect for stored procedure return value values,
if null values are returned.

now aggregates space type and indicate usage in percent for each space
- Added flag _stdNullComp to support standard SQL Null value
comparison behaviour ( comparison returns false in any case )
As default, cego specific comparison is enabled, where null values
are the lowest values ( e.g. -1 > null returns true )
Note : This ordering is also used for btree value sorting,
where a well defined ordering for null values is needed.
This SQL standard behaviour can be enabled be setting
STDNULLCOMP=ON in the database xml file |
