Description
pymssql is a simple database interface for Python that builds on top of FreeTDS to provide a Python DB-API (PEP-249) interface to Microsoft SQL Server. It includes the low-level _mssql module and the DB-API compliant pymssql module.
In the other systems
The newest version among them is 2.4.5, as upstream numbers it.

Version history 1
Upstream's version as each commit to the port's Makefile set it, or as this site first saw it in the system's packages; the tree's own revisions are not versions here.
Install
Binary package:
pkg install py312-pymssql
From the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/databases/py-pymssql/ && make install clean
To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= py312-pymssql>0:databases/py-pymssql
Packages
The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.

C. Weimann | databases/py-pymssql: Resurrect, update to 2.4.5, add maintainer The port expired on 2026-09-15 because it depended on the expired lang/cython0.
It now builds with Cython 3 (USE_PYTHON=cython) via pep517 from the PyPI sdist
and links databases/freetds dynamically. Direct krb5 and OpenSSL linking is
disabled. tomli and standard-distutils are pruned from the pyproject
build-system requires as they are not needed.
