Description

Rainfrog is a lightweight, terminal-based tool for interacting with databases.

Features:

  • efficient navigation via vim-like keybindings and mouse controls
  • query editor with keyword highlighting, session history, and favorites
  • quickly copy data, filter tables, and switch between schemas
  • shortcuts to view table metadata and properties
  • cross-platform (Android via termux, FreeBSD, Linux, MacOS, Windows)

Supported databases:

  • Postgres
  • MySQL
  • Sqlite
  • Redshift (via wire protocol of Postgres)
  • DuckDB
  • Oracle (requires additional runtime dependencies)

Install

Binary package:

pkg install rainfrog

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/databases/rainfrog/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	rainfrog>0:databases/rainfrog

396c159306 Alan Somers */*: Fix many Rust ports to run without COMPAT11
RISCV does not include COMPAT11 by default. But Rust's libc bound the compat-11 symbols until version 0.2.176. Patch a great many Rust ports to use a newer version of libc, to eliminate the dependency on COMPAT11. Explicitly patching Cargo.lock isn't usually necessarily, since within the build jail cargo is forced to use whichever crates Makefile.crates installs there. Notes on specific ports: * textproc/bookokrat: Rework bookokrat's existing patch to be more robust.
