Description

Jakarta XML Binding API 2.3 provides the classic javax.xml.bind API for mapping Java classes to XML representations. Although the Maven artifact is named jakarta.xml.bind-api, version 2.3.3 still uses the javax.xml.bind namespace.

This port installs only the JAXB API and does not include a JAXB runtime implementation.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install jaxb-api

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/jaxb-api/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	jaxb-api>0:devel/jaxb-api

The Maven directory this port fetches from also holds 3.x and 4.x, which are the switch to the jakarta.xml.bind namespace, not updates. security/dogtag-pki needs the javax one. Sponsored by: Netzkommune GmbH
