Description

The CPU Jitter Random Number Generator provides a non-physical true random number generator that works equally in kernel and user land. The only prerequisite is the availability of a high-resolution timer that is available in modern CPUs.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install devel/libjitterentropy
pkg install libjitterentropy

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/libjitterentropy/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	libjitterentropy>0:devel/libjitterentropy
LIB_DEPENDS=	libjitterentropy.so:devel/libjitterentropy
