Description

The LLVM Project is a collection of modular and reusable compiler and toolchain technologies.

This port includes Clang (a C/C++/Objective-C compiler), LLD (a linker), LLDB (a debugger), an OpenMP runtime library, and the LLVM infrastructure these are built on.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install llvm12

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/llvm12/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

Consolidate all the _PATTERN variables in one location and define them unconditionally.
a4f732450d Brooks Davis devel/llvm12: greatly slim the set of options
At this point this port is mostly required for devel/openjdk11 on powerpc. Remove most options not relevent to this function. This will cut build time on the cluster and for dependent ports. Sponsored by: DARPA, AFRL
