Description

You can write a setup.py with no version information specified, and vcversioner will find a recent, properly-formatted VCS tag and extract a version from it.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install py312-vcversioner

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/devel/py-vcversioner/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	py312-vcversioner>0:devel/py-vcversioner
