Description
BinData is a declarative way to read and write binary file formats.
This means the programmer specifies *what* the format of the binary data is, and BinData works out *how* to read and write data in this format. It is an easier (and more readable) alternative to Ruby's #pack and #unpack methods.
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install devel/rubygem-bindata
pkg install rubygem-bindataFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/devel/rubygem-bindata/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= rubygem-bindata>0:devel/rubygem-bindataPackages
The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
