Description
FileMagic is a Ruby binding to the magic(4) library, which you may know better as the file(1) command. The file(1) command identifies the type of a file using, among other tests, a test for whether the file begins with a certain magic number.
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install devel/rubygem-ruby-filemagic
pkg install rubygem-ruby-filemagicFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/devel/rubygem-ruby-filemagic/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= rubygem-ruby-filemagic>0:devel/rubygem-ruby-filemagicPackages
