Description

A port of BrowserScope's user agent string parser.

The crux of the original parser -- the data collected by Steve Souders over the years -- has been extracted into a separate YAML file so as to be reusable as is by implementations in other programming languages.

ua-parser is just a small wrapper around this data.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install py311-ua_parser

From DPorts:

cd /usr/dports/devel/py-ua_parser && make install clean

Message after installing

To allow user_agent_parser python module to find regexes.yaml file,
define UA_PARSER_YAML environment variable to point to
/usr/local/share/ua_parser/regexes.yaml
