Description

The ldapscripts allow to easily manage POSIX accounts (users, groups, machines) in an LDAP directory. They can be used independently as shell commands or within Samba's configuration. See README for more details.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install ldapscripts

From DPorts:

cd /usr/dports/net/ldapscripts && make install clean

Dependencies

Run dependencies 1

net/openldap26-client

No port depends on this one.

Configuration

No options to configure.

Service scripts: none

Message after installing

Security warning :

 For security reasons, ldapscripts.conf and ldapscripts.passwd
 files are now set read-only for user and group owners. Do not
 forget to fine-tune ownership of these two files before using
 the scripts (and to make them read-only if they are not).

 e.g. : chmod 0440 /usr/local/etc/ldapscripts/ldapscripts.conf
        chgrp ldapadmins /usr/local/etc/ldapscripts/ldapscripts.conf
        chmod 0440 /usr/local/etc/ldapscripts/ldapscripts.passwd
        chgrp ldapadmins /usr/local/etc/ldapscripts/ldapscripts.passwd

 The ldapscripts are now installed, enjoy !
