Description

Minimum Profit is an easy to use programmer's text editor. Its features:

  • Syntax highlighting for many popular languages and file formats
  • Fully scriptable using a C-like scripting language
  • Unlimited undo levels; configurable keys, menus, and colors
  • Can edit multiple files at the same time (shared copy/paste buffer)
  • Creative use of tags, symbol name auto-completion
  • Intelligent, context-dependent help system
  • Automatic indentation, word wrapping, internal grep, etc.
  • Spellchecking support (via the ispell package)
  • Multilingual; has complete Unicode support

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install editors/mp
pkg install mp

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/editors/mp/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	mp>0:editors/mp

Message after installing

The default color scheme for GUI drivers changed in version 5.30 to a
dark background and softer colors. If you want to revert to the classic
bright colors on white background theme, edit the configuration file
(File -> Edit configuration file) and copy and paste the following:
