Description
AVFS is a system, which enables all programs to look inside gzip, tar, zip, etc. files or view remote (ftp, http, dav, etc.) files, without recompiling the programs.
Shared library and FUSE daemon are provided.
AVFS is (C) under the GNU GPL. The shared library supporting AVFS with LD_PRELOAD is (C) under the GNU LGPL.
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install filesystems/avfs
pkg install avfsFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/filesystems/avfs/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= avfs>0:filesystems/avfs
