Description
The libblkid library is used to identify block devices (disks) as to their content (e.g., filesystem type) as well as extracting additional information such as filesystem labels/volume names, unique identifiers/serial numbers. A common use is to allow use of LABEL= and UUID= tags instead of hard-coding specific block device names into configuration files.
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install filesystems/libblkid
pkg install libblkidFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/filesystems/libblkid/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= libblkid>0:filesystems/libblkid
LIB_DEPENDS= libblkid.so:filesystems/libblkidPackages
The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
