Description
Ever since Yahoo! finance decommissioned their historical data API, many programs that relied on it to stop working. yfinance aimes to solve this problem by offering a reliable, threaded, and Pythonic way to download historical market data from Yahoo! finance.
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install finance/py-yfinance
pkg install py312-yfinanceFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/finance/py-yfinance/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= py312-yfinance>0:finance/py-yfinancePackages
