Description

Doom 3 is a sci-fi horror first-person shooter computer game developed by id Software and published by Activision. Set in 2145 in the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research center on Mars, it is a reimagining of the original Doom, with completely new graphics and game engine.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install linux-doom3

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/games/linux-doom3/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	linux-doom3>0:games/linux-doom3

Message after installing

To complete the installation of this port you need to copy the files
"base/pak00[0-4].pk4", from the original Doom III distribution to
"/usr/local/lib/linux-doom3/base".

If you have the Doom III: Resurrection of Evil expansion copy the file
"d3xp/pak000.pk4", from the original distribution to
"/usr/local/lib/linux-doom3/d3xp".

more likely to have unresolved issues, not be up-to-date, or even be removed in
