Description

CLX is a cross-platform ahead-of-time compiler for Lua that generates standalone native executables through modern C++ toolchains, rather than interpreting bytecode at runtime.

It targets Lua 5.5 compatibility and aims for predictable runtime performance and fast startup times, integrating with existing C++ build systems. Alongside the compiler it installs a static runtime library and headers for embedding compiled Lua into C++ projects.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install lang/clx
pkg install clx

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/lang/clx/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	clx>0:lang/clx

Packages

The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.

Drop the post-install workaround: upstream now installs clx_simd.h itself. Add lib/libclx_lua.a, a new static library built from the vendored Lua 5.5 sources.
