Description
Numdiff is a little program that can be used to compare putatively similar files line by line and field by field, ignoring small numeric differences or/and different numeric formats.
Equivalently, Numdiff is a program with the capability to appropriately compare files containing numerical fields (and not only).
% numdiff file1 file2
Install
As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:
pkg install math/numdiff
pkg install numdiffFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/math/numdiff/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:
RUN_DEPENDS= numdiff>0:math/numdiffPackages
The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
