Description

zchunk is a compressed file format that splits the file into independent chunks. This allows you to only download changed chunks when downloading a new version of the file, and also makes zchunk files efficient over rsync.

zchunk files are protected with strong checksums to verify that the file you downloaded is, in fact, the file you wanted.

Install

Binary package:

mport install zchunk

From mports:

22173208f1 Lucas Holt */*: add CPE identifiers from the matching FreeBSD ports
mport audit matches installed packages against sec.midnightbsd.org by CPE, so a port without one is invisible to it regardless of how vulnerable it is. These 126 ports had no CPE while the corresponding FreeBSD port did, so the vendor and product were copied from there rather than guessed.
