Version history 3
Upstream's version as each commit to the port's Makefile set it, or as this site first saw it in the system's packages; the tree's own revisions are not versions here.
Install
Binary package:
mport install jenkins
From mports:
cd /usr/mports/devel/jenkins && make install clean
To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

Lucas Holt | devel/jenkins: update to 2.586 (#1783) Update weekly Jenkins 2.582 → 2.586.
- distinfo SHA-256 matches upstream `jenkins.war.sha256`
- Java requirement unchanged (21+)
- 2.586 adds an admin warning for authorization strategies granting full
access to all authenticated users; 2.585 enables the new Manage Jenkins
UI by default
Tested on amd64: `bmake makesum patch build fake package` all pass;
`portlint -AC` 0 fatal (5 warnings, all pre-existing).

Lucas Holt | devel/jenkins: update to 2.582 (#1358) Update the Jenkins weekly port from 2.580 to 2.582.
`devel/jenkins-lts` needs no change: 2.568.3 is still the current LTS
release per `updates.jenkins.io/stable/latestCore.txt`, and
`get.jenkins.io/war-stable/` lists no newer line.
## Validation
- `bmake makesum` — distinfo regenerated
- `bmake fake` — staged cleanly
- `bmake package` — `jenkins-2.582.mport` created
- portlint: 5 warnings, all pre-existing (absolute paths in
Makefile/pkg-message, redundant CONFLICTS version pattern, USES
ordering)
No `bmake test` target for this port (NO_BUILD, WAR-only distfile).

Lucas Holt | devel/jenkins: update to 2.580 (#816) ## Summary
Updates the Jenkins weekly line from 2.570 to 2.580.
## Upstream packaging change
Jenkins stopped bundling detached plugins in the war. 2.570 shipped 48
`.hpi` files under `WEB-INF/detached-plugins/`; 2.580 ships none — the
directory is gone entirely. That accounts for the distfile shrinking
from 101MB to 53MB, which is a real upstream change rather than a
truncated download (verified against upstream's published
`jenkins.war.sha256`).
Practical effect: existing installs keep the plugins already present in
`JENKINS_HOME` and are unaffected. A **fresh** install now pulls those
plugins from the Jenkins update center on first run, so a new setup
needs network access to reach a usable state.
`JAVA_VERSION=21+` is unchanged and still correct.
