Description

PHP, which stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor" is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. Its syntax draws upon C, Java, and Perl, and is easy to learn. The main goal of the language is to allow web developers to write dynamically generated webpages quickly, but you can do much more with PHP.

Update `lang/php84` from 8.4.26 to 8.4.27, a security release. Upstream fixes GHSA-w8hw-w9fx-j79w and GHSA-6wmf-4rv5-p3rp (CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619), "Avoid state corruption via bailout" in Zend core. PHP rates both critical (CVSS v4.0 9.2). They allow remote code execution, and details leaked ahead of the coordinated release. - The distinfo SHA256 (`dcf93923b0e38e0d5252b25b796520b5a47761a08b3488b6d0b5d1115764d3f0`) matches the php.net releases listing. - Built locally (amd64): `bmake patch build fake package` -> php84-8.4.27.mport. The staged `php -n -v` reports 8.4.27. - portlint: the only errors are pre-existing OPTIONS-ordering ones on lines this change does not touch. - Built and tested on 4.0.9 (stable/4.0). On magus run 646, `lang/php84` entered the test phase on 2026-09-04 and was still sitting there seven days later, wedging worker 1 on m4164 and stalling the rest of the run. ## Cause The port defined its own test target: ```makefile test: build @(cd ${WRKSRC} && ${MAKE} test) ``` This runs PHP's full upstream suite from the top of the source tree, which deadlocks in `ext/standard/tests/streams` (proc_open/pty). Worse, because the rule defines `target(test)` itself, the guard in `Mk/bsd.mport.mk:4976` that emits the `NO_TEST`/`TESTING_UNSAFE` handling never fires — so the phase could not be disabled from the port at all. `textproc/libxml2` 2.15 changed SONAME from `libxml2.so.2` to `libxml2.so.16` **and** removed ELF symbol versioning entirely — the new library defines no `LIBXML2_*` versions at all. Consumers built against the old library were never rebuilt, so they still record a dependency on `libxml2.so.2` plus version requirements nothing can satisfy, and fail at load time: ``` ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2: version LIBXML2_2.4.30 required by /usr/local/lib/libevdocument3.so.4 not defined ``` ### Scope `Tools/scripts/bump_revision.pl -f -l textproc/libxml2` — **436 Makefiles**: 323 revisions incremented, 113 gained a `PORTREVISION` line.
