Description

Rust is an open-source systems programming language that runs blazingly fast, prevents almost all crashes, and eliminates data races.

This port creates the required bootstrap compilers for building the next version of lang/rust.

ff7a3b1b7e Lucas Holt lang/rust-bootstrap: build the cargo bootstrap tarball (#756)
Follow-up to #755, fixing the gap noted there: `lang/rust` bootstraps from **three** distfiles — `rustc`, `rust-std` and `cargo` — but this port ran `x.py dist` with `extended=false` and no `tools` list, so it never produced a cargo tarball. The bootstraps it shipped were not enough to bump `lang/rust` on their own; cargo still had to come from the FreeBSD mirror. ## Changes - `tools=["cargo"]` and `extended=true` so cargo is built and packaged with the other two - `do-install` drops the combined `rust-${PORTVERSION}` installer (a side effect of `extended=true`) plus the `rust-dev` / `rustc-dev` tarballs, which `lang/rust` never fetches — same set FreeBSD keeps - `[dist] compression-formats=["xz"]`, since only the xz tarballs are …
eefc4ef445 Lucas Holt lang/rust-bootstrap: update to 1.95.0 (#755)
Follows #754 by updating `lang/rust-bootstrap` from 1.94.0 to 1.95.0, so the port keeps producing bootstrap tarballs matching the compiler it bootstraps. ## Changes - `PORTVERSION` 1.94.0 -> 1.95.0, dropped the now stale `PORTREVISION=1` - `distinfo` updated for `rustc-1.95.0-src.tar.xz` - `files/patch-AddLLVM.cmake` and `files/patch-vendor_cc.rs` synced from `lang/rust`; both needed retargeting for the 1.95 sources (LLVM now quotes `"${CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME}"` and the line moved; the vendored cc crate moved 1.2.50 -> 1.2.55) ## Note on the distfile FreeBSD's rust-bootstrap distinfo for 1.95.0 records a *different* `rustc-1.95.0-src.tar.xz` (`deb399b9…`, 238942468 bytes) than their own lang/rust distinfo (`62b67230…`, 238952004 bytes) — upstream re-rolled …
