Description

This is a small collection of tools for edk2 firmware images. They support decoding and printing the content of firmware volumes. Variable stores (OVMF_VARS.fd) can be modified, for example to enroll secure boot certificates.

In the other systems

The newest version among them is 26.5.4, as upstream numbers it.

e3a54f9416 Lucas Holt sysutils/virt-firmware: add EDK2 firmware tools 26.5.4 (#2201)
Import virt-firmware 26.5.4 from the local FreeBSD ports tree and register it in sysutils. These Python tools inspect EDK2 firmware and modify UEFI variable stores. Adapt the maintainer, license identifier, and framework include for MidnightBSD; required default-Python dependencies are present in mports. Validation on MidnightBSD 4.0.9 amd64 with Python 3.12: check-license, makesum, patch, build, fake, package, makeplist review, fake-qa, and portlint (warnings only). Retain Python autoplist. The port has no upstream test target. A direct unittest attempt was blocked while importing the installed cryptography package because its OpenSSL legacy provider failed to load; runtime tests remain unverified. Some upstream tests also require Linux/systemd or OVMF fixtures. …
