9f3a3e204a Lucas Holt x11/libxkbcommon: fix version-script probe so symbol versions are applied (#1611)
Fixes #1105. ## Root cause Meson's `-Wl,--version-script` probe links an **executable** with a map that localizes every symbol. On MidnightBSD (and FreeBSD) `crt1.o` defines `environ` and `__progname` and `libc.so.7` references them, so hiding them makes the link invalid. Both LLD 19.1.7 and GNU ld reject it; this is not an LLD or CRT bug. The probe therefore reported unsupported and the `V_*` project maps were silently dropped from all three libraries. ## Fix - `files/patch-meson.build`: link the probe with `-shared` (same patch as FreeBSD ports). - `HAS_SYMBOL_VERSION` on `libxkbregistry.so` so `fake-sanity` fails if versions are ever dropped again. - `PORTREVISION=1`, since installed libraries gain symbol versions. ## Verification …

Updates libxkbcommon from 1.8.1 to 1.13.2. - Removes the upstreamed version-script probe patch and stale PORTREVISION. - Adds the newly staged CLI helpers and conditional plist handling. - Keeps SONAME `.so.0`; no dependent PORTREVISION bumps are needed. - Retains the existing NO_TEST policy: direct Meson testing is 27/28, with only the upstream compose-locale test failing to resolve `xx_YY.UTF-8` on MidnightBSD. - Omits `HAS_SYMBOL_VERSION`: Meson's project version-script probe fails with LLD/crt visibility diagnostics; tracked separately in #1105. a05b377b53 Lucas Holt *: bump PORTREVISION for the textproc/libxml2 2.15 shared library change (#848)
`textproc/libxml2` 2.15 changed SONAME from `libxml2.so.2` to `libxml2.so.16` **and** removed ELF symbol versioning entirely — the new library defines no `LIBXML2_*` versions at all. Consumers built against the old library were never rebuilt, so they still record a dependency on `libxml2.so.2` plus version requirements nothing can satisfy, and fail at load time: ``` ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2: version LIBXML2_2.4.30 required by /usr/local/lib/libevdocument3.so.4 not defined ``` ### Scope `Tools/scripts/bump_revision.pl -f -l textproc/libxml2` — **436 Makefiles**: 323 revisions incremented, 113 gained a `PORTREVISION` line.
