Description
This is a plugin package for Nagios. Quoting from the main Nagios package:
Nagios is a host and service monitor designed to inform you of network problems before your clients, end-users or managers do. It has been designed to run under the Linux operating system, but works fine under most *NIX variants as well. The monitoring daemon runs intermittent checks on hosts and services you specify using external "plugins" which return status information to Nagios. When problems are encountered, the daemon can send notifications out to administrative contacts in a variety of different ways (email, instant message, SMS, etc.). Current status information, historical logs, and reports can all be accessed via a web browser.

Install
Binary package:
pkg install monitoring-pluginsFrom the ports tree:
cd /usr/ports/net-mgmt/monitoring-plugins/ && make install cleanTo depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

stable replacement, so make the plugin available here as an option.
It is off by default, like every other option in this port that pulls
an external library.
check_curl requires libcurl and uriparser. configure only knows
--with-libcurl and --with-uriparser, so pass those explicitly instead
of relying on autodetection. The submitted patch used a --with-curl
knob that does not exist and was missing the libcurl dependency.

Global symbol "$sudo" requires explicit package name (did you forget to declare "my $sudo"?) at /usr/local/libexec/nagios/check_mailq line 580.
Execution of /usr/local/libexec/nagios/check_mailq aborted due to compilation errors.
Upstream removed sudo for check_mailq completely in version 3.0.3.
