Description

Portmon is a network service monitoring daemon. Portmon basically uses a list of hosts and port numbers, and tries to connect to each host on the list at a regular time interval. It is a lightweight program, and requires no software to be installed on the machines one wishes to monitor.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install portmon

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net-mgmt/portmon/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	portmon>0:net-mgmt/portmon
