Description

Zabbix is an enterprise-class open source distributed monitoring solution.

Zabbix is software that monitors numerous parameters of a network and the health and integrity of servers. Zabbix uses a flexible notification mechanism that allows users to configure e-mail based alerts for virtually any event. This allows a fast reaction to server problems. Zabbix offers excellent reporting and data visualisation features based on the stored data. This makes Zabbix ideal for capacity planning.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install zabbix7-server

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net-mgmt/zabbix7-server/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	zabbix7-server>0:net-mgmt/zabbix7-server

Message after installing

Log files are now under /var/log/zabbix directory instead of /tmp as it was
previously.

For Zabbix server and proxy daemons, as well as Zabbix frontend, a database is
required. It is not needed to run Zabbix agent.

% cd /usr/local/share/zabbix7/server/database

For Zabbix frontend "Welcome" screen. Enter the user name Admin with password
zabbix to log in as a Zabbix superuser.

For use NMAP please edit sudoers.
