Description

sendfile(2) is a system call which provides a "zero-copy" way of copying data from one file descriptor to another (a socket). The phrase "zero-copy" refers to the fact that all of the copying of data between the two descriptors is done entirely by the kernel, with no copying of data into userspace buffers.

Install

As a binary package — by origin, or by package name:

pkg install net/py-pysendfile
pkg install py312-pysendfile

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net/py-pysendfile/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	py312-pysendfile>0:net/py-pysendfile

Packages

The version each package repository carries. “-” means the repository builds no package of it, “n/a” that there is no such repository.
