Description

SMCRoute is a command line tool to manipulate the multicast routes of a UNIX kernel. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6 multicast routing.

SMCRoute can be used as an alternative to dynamic multicast routers like mrouted or pimd in setups where static multicast routes should be maintained and/or no proper IGMP or MLD signaling exists.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install smcroute

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net/smcroute/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	smcroute>0:net/smcroute

150dd61663 Piotr Kubaj net/smcroute: fix build on 15.1 and later
Do not define _KERNEL around netinet/ip_mroute.h on FreeBSD. Its kernel-only section now uses VNET_DECLARE(), and smcroute does not need anything from it anyway.
