Description

Yate - Yet Another Telephony Engine

is a next-generation telephony engine; while currently focused on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and PSTN, its power lies in its ability to be easily extended. Voice, video, data and instant messenging can all be unified under Yate's flexible routing engine, maximizing communications efficiency and minimizing infrastructure costs for businesses.

Yate is production-ready software and is easily extensible. Yate is licensed under the GPL.

Install

Binary package:

pkg install yate

From the ports tree:

cd /usr/ports/net/yate/ && make install clean

To depend on this port in another port's Makefile:

RUN_DEPENDS=	yate>0:net/yate
LIB_DEPENDS=	libyate.so:net/yate

Message after installing

To start the YATE sever automatically when the system is started, append
the following in your /usr/local/etc/rc.conf file:

yate_enable="YES"		# YATE iPBX/Softswitch server

To manually start the yate server run (as root):
# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/yate start

To manually stop it:
# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/yate stop

The yate port currently does not have a maintainer. As a result, it is
more likely to have unresolved issues, not be up-to-date, or even be removed in
