Description

APSW provides an SQLite 3 wrapper that provides the thinnest layer over the SQLite database library possible. Everything you can do from the SQLite C API, you can do from Python. Although APSW looks vaguely similar to the PEP 249 (DBAPI), it is not compliant with that API because instead it works the way SQLite 3 does.

3.54.1.0 Fixed build failure on recent gcc, due to using header that was included by other headers. (APSW issue 640) Fixed reference count leak due to incorrect reference count handling. The main symptom would be connections not automatically being garbage collected. (APSW issue 641)

3.53.4.0 Blob implements io.RawIOBase allowing use by other modules expecting file like objects, such as compression. Several methods and attributes are added, and Blob.write() now returns the size written (used to be None).

3.53.3.1 Fix an issue that could occur with connections and module unload ordering during finalization.

3.53.3.0 pyodide (web assembly) builds are now published to pypi, thanks to version 4 of cibuildwheel. Async breaking changes: This SQLite release requires the database mutex for some APIs that it did not before. The following were direct values, but now must be awaited: Connection.changes() Connection.get_autocommit() Connection.in_transaction Connection.last_insert_rowid() Connection.total_changes() The closure extension was removed from SQLite extra by SQLite. Common table expressions are a better approach. Remove the logger on module unload (APSW issue 620)
