Description

Simulators for MMIX, a RISC machine designed by Professor Donald Knuth to replace MIX in the ultimate editions of his monumental opus ``The Art of Computer Programming''.

The programs are described in

MMIXware by Donald E. Knuth Lecture Notes in Computer Science 1750 (Springer Verlag, Heidelberg, 1999).

Install

Binary package:

pkgin install mmix

From pkgsrc:

cd /usr/pkgsrc/emulators/mmix && make install clean

e282cfb26b wiz *: add LDFLAGS overide that was previously in mk
This is a workaround and should be fixed properly per-package - they should use the pkgsrc LDFLAGS, but this restores what happened before the mk/ cleanup. Fixes relro build for packages that do not honor LDFLAGS. Package list provided by mef@, thanks! Workaround commit requested by bsiegert on tech-pkg.
