Description

The "random" provider allows the use of randomness within Terraform configurations. This is a logical provider, which means that it works entirely within Terraform's logic, and doesn't interact with any other services.

Version history 1

  1. 2.3.0 779113359b

Upstream's version as each commit to the port's Makefile set it, or as this site first saw it in the system's packages; the tree's own revisions are not versions here.

Install

Binary package:

pkgin install terraform-provider-random2

779113359b leot terraform-provider-random2: Import terraform-provider-random2 as net/terraform-provider-random2
Replace net/terraform-provider-random by adding a suffix version so multiple random providers can coexists. Adapt to terraform/provider.mk so that the provider can be used with Terraform and OpenTofu. Please note that now it no longer depends on terraform or opentofu so the desired version should be manually installed. Also migrate it to lang/go/go-module.mk. Discussed on tech-pkg@ and no negative feedbacks <https://mail-index.NetBSD.org/tech-pkg/2026/03/04/msg032042.html> (it took a bit more than a week to import them though, sorry!)
