Description

Yt-dlp is a youtube-dl fork with additional features and fixes. The main focus of this project is adding new features and patches while also keeping up to date with the original project. Some of the new features are: * SponsorBlock API integration * Format Sorting * youtube improvements * obtain cookies from browser * split video by chapters into files * multi-threaded fragment downloads * new and fixed/improved extractors * subtitle extraction from manifests * multiple paths and output templates * portable configuration * new options * plugin extractors * differences in default behavior

Binary package:

fd87bef22b gdt yt-dlp: Drop note that the package lacks expected dependencies
After discussion with leot@, it turns out that most uses of yt-dlp do not require ffmpeg, so it being missing is not wrong. What's wrong (gdt opinion) is that upstream says it is (in general) strongly recommended. Resolve this by simply ignoring upstream's recommendation :-) But seriously, for unusual uses where ffmpeg is needed, that is likely clear from reading the man page, and if not, it's man page bug.
