Description
Atuin replaces your existing shell history with a SQLite database, and records additional context for your commands. It also provides optional, fully encrypted synchronisation of your history between machines via an Atuin server.
As well as its search UI, it can:
- Rebind ctrl-r and the up arrow to a full-screen history search
- Store rich metadata per command: exit code, working directory, hostname, session, and duration
- Search and filter history by directory, session, host, or exit status
- Sync encrypted history across machines through a self-hosted or the hosted Atuin server
This package installs both the atuin client and the atuin-server daemon.
