BioRuby project aims to implement integrated environment for Bioinformatics by using Ruby, which is the object-oriented interpreted scripting language. It supports classes for sequence (translation, splicing, window search etc), for applications (homology search), and more.

From pkgsrc-wip (no binary package):

cd /usr/pkgsrc/wip/bioruby && make install clean
