Description
Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements normally aggregated in different files, like users, cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files.

To enable the puppet agent, add the following to /etc/rc.conf: puppet_enable="YES" The default PID directory is /var/run/puppet ===> NOTICE: This port is deprecated; you may wish to reconsider installing it: Discontinued, use sysutils/openvox-agent8. It is scheduled to be removed on or after 2026-07-01.
